Women dressing to impress
This one may well cause a little controversy… apparently a quarter of women are prepared to dress provocatively to help them climb the career ladder.
According to the Daily Mail, more than 27% admitted they would happily wear a slightly risky outfit to work in an attempt to get a bonus or promotion. One in twenty of those even owned up to doing this on a regular basis.
The poll of 3,000 workers was carried out by fashion forum site www.theragtrader.com. It also revealed that women were more competitive in the office fashion stakes with 48% of women admitting there was an element of competition when it came to office attire, compared to just 27% of men.
The marketing and advertising industries were named as the most competitive in the office fashion wars, followed by media workers and those who work in retail.
