Sumo win Natural History Museum tender
Newcastle-based design agency Sumo have been selected to work with one of the world’s most renowned museums following an international tender.
The Natural History Museum is home to the nation’s finest collections of natural history specimens and is one of the UK’s top visitor attractions. The Museum’s collection now runs to 70 million plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, fossils, rocks and minerals - many of which are displayed through its fascinating exhibitions.
Sumo was selected from more than 180 companies to work with the Natural History Museum on a range of graphic design projects, the contract for which will run until 2011.
Jim Richardson, Sumo’s Managing Director, said: “The Natural History Museum is one of the names that we always dreamed of having on our client list, and we are delighted to be selected to work with such an exciting organisation.”
The contract follows similar work with cultural organisations across the UK, including the National Trust, Shetland Museum & Archives, Brighton & Hove Museums, York Museums Trust and Tyne & Wear Museums.
