Accolades for dental practice in Stockton-on-Tees
The Dental Healthcare Centre in Stockton-on-Tees has been voted Best Practice in the UK at the Dentistry Awards 2008 at a Black tie Awards ceremony in Leicester, compered by Kriss Akabussi. The practice won Best Practice in the North East Region and then competed against other regions to pick up the honour of the nation’s top dental practice.
A few weeks earlier, the practice was also awarded Most Improved Practice in the UK at the Private Dentistry Awards 2008 - this was awarded to the practice that had made the most profound and dramatic changes in a 12 month period.
All smiles again in 2009 as Mike Heads, Practice principal, has been short listed in two categories of the National Smile Awards 2009. He has been short listed in the category “conservative smile” and “Generosity of a Smile” and travels down to a ceremony in London on 20th March where the winners will be announced.
The practice has also been short listed for the National Dental Practice Wow Awards 2009 - Excellence in Practice. This Award is different from other dental awards in that the focus is not simply on impressing others in the profession, but rather on the impact a practice is having on patients.
Mike Heads said: “I thought 2008 was an extraordinary year for the practice, winning Best Practice in the UK at the National Dentistry Awards 2008 together with Best Practice in the North East region and Most Improved Practice at the National Private Dentistry Awards 2008, but it would appear that 2009 holds further recognition for all of the hard work by all of the team. I am on top of the world!”
