Website set to treble turnover of North East company

A North East company which provides technology to assist people with disabilities looks set to treble its turnover over the coming year with the launch of an online branch of the business.

Chris Quickfall, who set up Invate in February 2006, believing he could drastically improve the service he experienced when buying equipment to support his own disability, has seen the company grow to expand to become one of the UK’s fastest assistive technology suppliers despite the economic slowdown.

Chris said: “We originally launched the business to service the North East providing equipment and support to dyslexic students in Higher Education - as word spread rapidly our client base spread nationally.

Launching a comprehensive and user-friendly e-commerce site seemed the next logical step for us in order to drive the business forward an increase the services we offer our clients.“

The Invate site has received 97% triple-A compliance for accessibility, and the site runs a special filtering system which allows users to input their requirements to source the products most suited to them.

Chris said: “People living with disabilities - whether they are visual, audible, physical or learning - face daily challenges that others may take for granted. Our aim is to provide customised solutions and ongoing support and training to those who require help in overcoming these obstacles - our ultimate vision is total technological inclusion for all. We hope that this well-designed, comprehensive and accessible e-commerce site helps to fulfill this vision.”
