Teesside recruitment firm set to double turnover
Wilton-based recruitment firm TechConsult is celebrating after being named as a preferred bidder for a Scottish oil and gas specialist. Under the agreement, the company will provide personnel to Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) which operates out of Aberdeen.
TechConsult is already the preferred supplier for eight companies including sub-sea specialists Technip and Darlington’s CTC Marine. Turnover has more than doubled to nearly £2million in 2008 and the firm expects to see similar growth this year, despite a slight dip in recruitment activity.
Managing Director Steve Guest says: “We have noticed a slight slowing down in the marketplace, but despite that, we are definitely looking for growth this year.”
TechConsult has recruited skilled contractors to work at onshore gas plants in Scotland and placed offshore telecommunications and electrical specialists with firms working on North Sea platforms.
