Downturn advice for North East businesses

North East businesses are being given the chance to benefit from the experience of a leading sales and leadership guru.

American Dave Anderson is returning to the North East to give the region’s companies an insight into how they can thrive despite the troubled economic climate.

Mr Anderson, who began his career as a car salesman before going on to run a $300m multi-franchise dealer group in northern California, first addressed the Entrepreneurs’ Forum last November.

His innovative approaches to succeeding in business made him such a hit that the Forum moved quickly to secure his services once more.

He will deliver a workshop entitled ‘Seven steps to win big in a tough market’ at the Hilton Hotel, in Gateshead, on Wednesday 1 April, from 9am to 4.30pm.

Mr Anderson is known as one of the most popular business speakers in the US, with thousands of people each year flocking to hear him talk at the National Automobile Dealers’ Association convention.

He is also the author of more than 50 training programmes on sales, management and leadership, and a regular business commentator in the American media.

His latest session in the North East is open to business owners and senior managers of companies of all sizes.

The Forum’s founding chairman Sir Peter Vardy said: “Dave Anderson is probably the best speaker the Forum has had in the six years it has been in existence. I say that because he is the most relevant and thought-provoking and, more importantly, action-provoking.

“You come away with a lot of notes and decisions that you’ve made on how to improve your business - things you have to do right away and strategies for the future. Leaders and their teams need to be there, especially in times like these.”

For further information, or to book, contact the Forum on 0870 850 2233 or email info@entrepreneursforum.net.
