Designers celebrate completion of celebrity projects
A North East interior design practice is bucking the trend of nationwide decline by celebrating the completion of three major design projects.
Ward Robinson, a North East interior design consultancy specialising in hotel and restaurant design, was recently commissioned to transform the interiors of several top UK hotels and restaurants.
At the award-winning Northcote Manor in Lancashire, the practice was commissioned by Michelin Star chef Nigel Haworth and hotelier Craig Bancroft.
At Anthony Flinn’s newly-opened Piazza restaurant at the Leeds Corn Exchange, the practice was involved in redesigning the restaurant and kitchen area.
The practice’s most recent venture - completing the design and specification of all the bedrooms at the Radisson SAS in Durham - is the largest hospitality project that Ward Robinson has undertaken.
Jill Holst, director at Newcastle-based Ward Robinson said: “The completion of these projects is a time for celebration and a time to look forward to new projects. Working with celebrity chefs has been a real coup and learning curve for us as we had to complement the hotels’ culinary successes to redesign the rooms. Each project had its own challenges and we’re delighted that Ward Robinson was able to make their mark with each.”
