Ministry of Justice awards 2020 four year stretch

North East based CCTV systems integrator 2020 Vision Systems is celebrating a good start to 2009 after securing a four year term as the CCTV maintenance provider for 14 North West prisons.

The company from North Shields has been awarded the contract by The Ministry of Justice.

2020 Vision was considered by The Ministry of Justice along with tenders from five other companies, and will now be responsible for the CCTV corrective and preventative maintenance for the 14 prisons.

The contract, which starts in February, involves looking after a wide range of electronic security products from various suppliers in addition to scheduled maintenance visits.

Peter Houlis, managing director of 2020 Vision said: “2009 looks set to be a good year for expansion, after securing more than £2million in contracts at the back end of last year, we’ve now secured this prestigious contract from The Ministry of Justice.

“2020 has a fantastic track record specialising in public sector work for prisons, hospitals, universities and the like. We’re delighted to have been awarded this contract and we’re looking forward to commencing work very soon.”

2020 Vision has provided security in a diverse range of environments such as hospitals, casinos, universities, sports stadia, government offices and a seabird island.
