Taking on Texas
Justin Souter, who has recently been writing a Web 2.0 column for us in the bdaily bulletin, is heading to Texas this week to represent the North East’s digital industries. In his own words…
I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be headed to Austin, Texas next week for the South by South West Interactive Festival (SXSWi), which:
“celebrates the creativity and passion behind the coolest new media technologies. In addition to panel sessions that cover everything from web design to bootstrapping to social networks, attendees make new business connections at the three-day Trade Show & Exhibition.
“The newest element of the event is ScreenBurn at SXSW, which adds specific gaming industry programming as well as a three-day Arcade to the mix.”
I will be attending as an Ambassador to the Thinking Digital Conference, and feel slightly daunted by the physical journey and development opportunity it presents - yet very privileged and excited to be going!
I also feel I will be representing the North East of England, so please contact me to discuss what I can do to help you / plug you whilst out at SXSW (within reason!).
