Legal experts show support for the north east's digital sector

Newcastle law firm Ward Hadaway is renewing its support for the region’s digital sector by signing up to sponsor a technology networking event.

Ward Hadaway has agreed to sponsor the ‘Think and a Drink’ networking event series - which is run by digital trade association Codeworks Connect - for the fourth consecutive year.

Alex Shiel, partner and head of the intellectual property and IT team at Ward Hadaway, said: “The North East’s digital technology sector is a highly active and hugely important part of the region’s economy and one in which Ward Hadaway is heavily involved.

“Codeworks has been a major catalyst in the ongoing progress and development of the sector and an organisation which we have been eager to support and champion since its foundation.

“Codeworks’ Think and a Drink provides an excellent forum for companies and people in the sector to exchange information, to meet new contacts and forge new working relationships so Ward Hadaway is delighted to continue sponsoring the event.”

Think and a Drink is a monthly networking event for digital business owners, managers and staff in the North East.

Recent events have seen the BBC telling companies how they could begin working with the corporation, and finance experts showing companies how to put together a successful investment pitch.
