Saleman's success speaks to NE entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs from across the North East have been signing up to hear from a world-renowned leadership coach about the best ways to ride out the recession.
American Dave Anderson, who started out as a car salesman and went on to run his own $300m multi-franchise dealer group in California, is returning to the region to give business people the expertise needed to face the current economic challenges.
He first came to the region last November, addressing delegates at an event hosted by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum. More than 200 business owners and executives have already signed up for Mr Anderson’s next workshop, entitled Seven Steps to Win Big in a Tough Market.
He is aiming to inspire and motivate firms to achieve greater success, offering strategies on how to train, coach and hold employees more accountable.
Forum Chief Executive Carole Beverley said: “We are delighted to have Dave returning to the region once more and this workshop is extremely timely.
“It is a sad fact that 80 per cent of new businesses fail within the first five years. However, that figure is reversed among entrepreneurs who undergo some form of training or guidance to increase their skill base - meaning 80 per cent go on to succeed.
“As well as Dave’s masterclass, there will be a fantastic opportunity to network and make new contacts, so we are not surprised at the excellent response so far.”
Lorna Moran, chief executive of Northern Recruitment Group, said: “Dave Anderson is certainly a man for the moment. At his session in November, I was very impressed by the clarity of his thinking. He makes you work on your business - literally there and then.”
The session takes place at the Hilton Hotel, in Gateshead, on Wednesday 1 April. For further information email info@entrepreneursforum.net.
