More experts announced for Thinking Digital
The BBC’s director of future media & technology, Wired UK’s deputy editor, and design experts Russell Davies and Ben Terrett are the latest leading technology figures who have signed up to speak at May’s Thinking Digital Conference.
The event’s organisers, Codeworks, have also unveiled details of the programme for the conference, which takes place on 13-15 May at the Sage Gateshead.
In total, 25 speakers will talk at the Thinking Digital conference, including Newsweek journalist Dan Lyons, Virgin’s head of online marketing Alex Hunter, and leading technologist Hans Rosling.
The latest speakers include Erik Huggers, Director of BBC future media & technology and a member of the Beeb’s executive board and Ben Hammersley, deputy editor of Wired UK magazine and the man who coined the term podcasting.
Erik Huggers said: “I am looking forward to speaking at this conference and look forward to sharing some of BBC’s future plans, along with the challenges currently facing us.” Herb Kim, Thinking Digital Conference Director, said: “We’re honoured that speakers of this calibre have decided to join us in North East England. We look forward to welcoming them to our region and in hearing their insights and views on the near future.”
The 400-capactiy conference is now sold out, but details can still be found at www.thinkingdigital.co.uk.
