North East Ambassador
The ‘Passionate people. Passionate places’ campaign, launched in 2005, is one of the most successful publicity campaigns for the region in many years. The aim is to highlight quality of life offer as well as positioning North East England as a great location to invest, do business, live, work and visit. From September 2008, the campaign has evolved to focus on business and innovation, to promote the groundbreaking work taking place here that will shape tomorrow’s world. One North East believes that by increasing awareness and creating positive perceptions of the area and its vibrant business base, it can encourage investment to the region, as well as attracting talented people to choose North East England to develop their career.
And a new project called North East England Ambassadors has been launched to equip regional businesses with all the information, facts and figures and promotional tools that they need to talk about the fantastic, innovative work being carried out in North East England. It centres around an online toolkit from which you can download facts and figures, word docs and images to use in presentations, speeches or on your own website and marketing materials, all totally free of charge. The toolkit also gives access to the free ‘Passionate about’ straplines that over 1200 regional businesses have already adopted to suit their own business messages.
Visitors to the www.northeastengland.co.uk/ambassadors http://www.northeastengland.co.uk/ambassadors website will find a number of improvements since its launch in September including an ambassador directory which makes it easy for you to see who else is part of the network and update your own profile. Ambassadors can now submit press releases or event information direct to the Regional Image Team. An events section represents another useful feature enabling you to view business events across the region as well as submitting your own events to be displayed here. To make it easier to use the toolkit, each section has been divided up into sub-sections. This will make it easier to look for the information you need and understand how you can use it to enhance your own business messages, whether this is facts, figures, maps, speeches, presentation slides or images. It is free to register as an ambassador and use the online toolkit at www.northeastengland.co.uk/ambassadors http://www.northeastengland.co.uk/ambassadors
