A North East businessman has completed the journey of a lifetime to the North Pole.
30 year old, Michael Mitten, Managing Director of Walker based Engineers, Houghton International successfully has reached the geographic North Pole in his aim to raise £50,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Since losing his Dad, Ron Mitten, to lung cancer in June 2007, Michael decided to undertake an expedition to the North Pole in order to raise £50,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support to ensure the amazing work Macmillan do in supporting people who live with cancer continues.Michael still has a long way to go to reach his target of £50,000 to support the one in three people affected by Cancer.
