Calling all public sector chief executives
Do you want to play a leading role in the commitment to Equality and Diversity Issues?
Not just the recruitment procedures or ticking the boxes, but really pushing the equality agenda forwards and securing an exciting vision for Local authorities and the public sector in the North East.
An exciting opportunity has arisen that we would like to share throughout the Northern region.
With the arrival of the Single Equalities Bill we see this as an opportunity to springboard a new and exciting model that can be piloted in the North East region. The pilot involves a new customised and accredited training scheme to develop an effective implementation of Equality Impact Assessments for all levels of Public Sector staff. This will be then independently evaluated giving the public sector a picture of what equality perceptions look like and feel like in practice.
The information can then be fed back to the organisations to work on their outcomes in line with their Equality impact Assessments, thus helping to radically streamline and strengthen the New Single Equality Duty on the Public Sector.
If you would like to embrace this dynamic pilot and implement a model that can be flagshipped in the North East as the benchmark for effective Equality and Diversity Training within the Public Sector, we would like to know.
If you would like to be involved, email Samantha Latif at sam@equalitydiversityservices.co.uk.
