Business advisors warm up to summer
More than 70 North East business advisers have banished the last of the winter blues at a special ‘Warm Up To Summer’. Senior representatives of the region’s foremost law firms, accountancy firms and banks turned out for the riverside barbecue, which was held at the Pitcher & Piano on Newcastle’s Quayside.
As well as recognising the wide range of business investment activity undertaken in conjunction with their guests, the event was designed by hosts NEL Fund Managers to reinforce the continuing availability of investment capital to help businesses right across the north east to put their growth and development plans into action.
NEL chief executive Barrie Hensby says: “Many of the business investment opportunities that come to us do so through our contacts within the regional professional services community, and this event provided an opportunity to say thank you to them for their help in making these deals happen.
“NEL is an active investor in North East businesses in a wide range of sectors, and despite the current difficult economic conditions, we’re continuing to make investments in companies right across the region who want to make the most of opportunities that are arising now which will make a big difference to their commercial ambitions.”
