Plugging a gap in the market
Earlier this week we were pointed in the direction of a new invention which could truly revolutionise the way we transport mains-powered electrical items. That’s right, it’s a folding plug.
Joking aside, it’s actually a great idea, and deserves to be made into a real product.
The new plug comes from the mind of designer Min Kyo Choi. It takes the usual three-pin block and compresses it into a folded sliver less than one centimetre thick. Initially it looks a little dangerous, but all the safety features have been incorporated into the design.
We don’t yet know if Mr Choi has registered the patent on his idea, but if not, then he’d better do it soon.
