Primula kick it with the community
Kavli, the Gateshead company behind the Primula squeezy cheese brand, has thrown its weight behind a regional sports coaching company.
The sponsorship deal will see Kavli support Newcastle Community Football’s popular Soccer Schools throughout the year, along with the annual Soccer 7s tournament.
With Kavli recently announcing strong sales, the North East based company says it is keen to give back to the region and support the community via sponsorship of sporting initiatives.
The sponsorship programme kicked off with the annual Soccer 7’s Tournament. The two-day event played host to over 175 junior teams from all over the UK attracting over 5,000 spectators.
Kate Winterton, Senior Product Manager of Kavli UK said: “It’s great for kids to have the opportunity to enjoy sports in the outdoors. Primula is excited to support such a fun tournament and help support junior sports coaching in the region. Primula is a family focused brand so we see our association with Newcastle Community Football as a great fit.”
Currently working in over 35 different schools throughout the North East, Newcastle Community Football deliver Soccer Schools and coaching tuition to over 1,000 primary school children per week.
