140-year-old company goes interactive
A 140-year-old firm is taking a step into the modern era by becoming one of the first interactive online building and plumbing stores in the country.
JT Dove’s new online catalogue, www.jtdove.co.uk, covers products such as bathrooms, decorating, heating, landscaping, plumbing and tools.
Steve Robinson, managing director, said: “Previously we viewed our website as a marketing tool so customers could find our stores and see what we would be likely to have in stock. But with the boom of online sales across all retailers, we thought now was the optimum time to launch our webshop, accessible across the entire country with every product we stock.
The firm anticipates that the online store will boost its sales by around 20%.
Steve said: “The website has taken 18 months to bring to fruition and we are very pleased now it is live. We might be an institution in the region, but we are forging forward with new ideas and business plans consistently keeping us in the forefront of the region’s top builder’s merchants!”
