Tommee Tippee in top 500
A Cramlington company has celebrated being newly named alongside the world’s top 500 brands.
The most recently released 2009/10 ‘Superbrand’ results included Cramlington-based child accessories company Tommee Tippee – the only North East company to get a mention alongside top brands such as Microsoft and Rolex.
The company won the 409th place in the list, following an independent selection process by the Superbrands survey, which is now in its 11th year and has become a clear indicator of the strength of brands.
A spokesperson for Tommee Tippee said: “This award is highly prized. We have been at the forefront of baby care for half a century, with millions of parents using and trusting our products over the years.”
The company is also named as the 6th largest baby accessories provider globally, with, on average, every household with a child under two years old owning 15 Tommee Tippee products. In a fiercely competitive market, it has nearly one third of the total market share by value and volume, and is internationally sold in more than 40 countries.
