Debate calls for business owners to weigh in
Seats are filling up fast for the BQ Live debate at the Ramside starting at 6pm this evening. Although pleased with the large and diverse private sector audience the organisers (both private businesses trying to do their bit for business growth in the North East) are frustrated that there are relatively few owner-managers represented.
With the findings of the debate being pushed through regional to national government, the organisers believe that today’s event provides an opportunity for businesses large and small to get their concerns debated and acted on.
Caroline Theobald, MD of Bridge Club Ltd, who’s facilitating the debate, threw down the gauntlet to like-minded owner-managers. She said: “If you have strong feelings about the region and conducting business in it, now’s the time to make them known. People in high places read BQ and the debate content will be of interest to policy makers interested in learning what makes North East businesses tick.”
