Joan Collins shops at Primark
Joan Collins says she has started shopping at Primark because of the recession.
The former Dynasty star, 76, discovered the cut-price chain after realising she could no longer afford her trademark designer outfits.
The actress, who owns four homes, said: “I’m having to cut back on spending - I’m afraid I’m no different from anyone else in that respect.
“I recently had my first sojourn into Primark and I loved it. I found three sweaters for £11 - fantastic!”
She added: “I can’t afford couture clothes. I don’t know who can. I wouldn’t dream of spending £3,000 on a jacket.”
The legend says she also now enjoys taking her grandchildren to McDonald’s for inexpensive treats.
