Different impresses Scottish judges
A North East agency is celebrating after receiving another award, this time from north of the border.
Different was the only agency outside of Scotland to win a Scottish Advertising Award at a ceremony held in Glasgow.
Different’s team won the Best Low Budget TV Commercial for its ‘Bonfires and Fireworks Ruin Lives in a Flash’ campaign for Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service. The campaign was produced by Chris Rickaby at Different in association with Martin Wedderburn at Glasgow-based Mallinson Television Productions, one of Scotland’s most prominent production companies.
The campaign combined TV and radio advertising with a range of educational outreach activities targeted at young people and parents to encourage attending organised firework displays.
Different also recently scooped two silvers and a bronze at the Fresh Awards in Manchester. All of the awards were for Different’s fireworks safety campaign for Fife Fire and Rescue Service. Different’s silver awards were in the categories of Best Regional Press Advert and Best Use of Art Direction, and the bronze award was for Best Use of Typography.
Ben Quigley, managing director, of Different said: “Different has its roots firmly placed in the North East and we are passionate about the region. Therefore we’re constantly striving to put our area on the creative map by working on a variety of major campaigns all over the UK.
“To be honoured at a ceremony outside of our traditional area is a great accolade not just for Different but for the North East as a whole as it showcases what we have to offer as a region.”
