Have you got the North East?s best business card?

A local print and design company has launched a competition to find the North East’s best business card.

JAK Print & Design based in Darlington and Chester-le-Street is launching the award in attempt to help businesses throughout the region realise “the significance of a good quality business card”.

The award will be judged on five main criteria – design, use of colour, quality of the card, memory hook and the overall impact of the business card. Prizes include £500 worth of printing as well as a trophy and the title itself.

Andrew Knowles of JAK said: “Often the first impression of your company, a business card is an integral part of any good marketing plan and is often the most cost effective. It is therefore important to present a professional image that people will remember.

“The quality of a business card can make or break a client’s first impression of your company. In fact, research has shown that it can make as much of an impression as your personal appearance, therefore it is imperative that time is taken to produce a great card.”

The business cards will be judged by an independent panel after the closing date of 15 January 2010.

Andrew added: “By launching this competition we aim to get the message out to the region about the importance of great business cards and hopefully help companies realise that it really is worth investing in professional business cards as it can be the difference of thousands of pounds worth of more business.”
