Woman offers best blind date ever
An Australian woman is offering a blind date with herself at the world’s best restaurant after breaking up with her boyfriend.
Jules Clancy, a food scientist from Sydney, has a reservation for two at El Bulli in Spain on Tuesday 15 December, reports the Australian Daily Telegraph.
But after her relationship ended, she has nobody to go with so hit upon the idea of searching for a dining companion online.
“It’s my way of turning a bad situation into a positive. I’m not expecting to find romance. It would be lovely, of course. It’s always nice to find love,” she said.
The winner of Miss Clancy’s competition will have to meet their own costs in getting to the restaurant, plus go halves on the final bill.
The set food menu costs about £220 per person, but could cost more “depending on how crazy you go with wine,” Miss Clancy said.
She will announce the winning entrant on her blog TheStoneSoup on 16 November.
