When: 25.09.09 at 09:00
Where: Beaumont Hotel, Beaumont St. Hexham , NE46 3LT
Whether you are involved in advertising or architecture, art and crafts or fashion, film and television or performing arts, music or software, it is crucial that you understand what intellectual property (IP) is and how it affects you and your business.
It is easy to forget about IP issues. Yet, your IP rights will often be the most valuable asset you have and ignoring those rights could seriously harm your business.
NBSL and Own-it invite you to attend a FREE workshop where IP lawyers Pippa Aitken and Elaine Campbell of Sintons LLP will introduce you to IP and help you identify, protect and exploit your rights in an accessible and interactive session. Pippa and Elaine will also be joined by Carol Metcalfe of Musa Fine Arts who will draw from her own experiences running a highly successful art gallery to provide a fascinating insight into running a creative business in the North East.
In association with Northumberland Business Service.
Event finishes at 12.30 pm followed by lunch.
Admission is free, however places are limited. To reserve your place you must register and book online at the Own-it website.
