Large employers committed to developing the skills of their workforce are being urged to come forward and be rewarded for their efforts.

Chris Roberts, Regional Director, LSC North East, said: “During these difficult economic times, ensuring that we have the skills we need to compete and succeed has never been so important and this is what these awards all about: recognising and celebrating achievement and success in learning and skills raises awareness about the benefits and encourages others to participate. A highly skilled workforce is good for individuals, employers and the wider economy.”
