Swindon wishing upon a star
The Wilthsire town of Swindon has been selected to twin with Walt Disney World after beating 24 other UK towns to the accolade.
A special Swindon exhibition will be unveiled in Disney’s Epcot theme park next year.
Rebecca Warren, who thought up the town’s approach of making a video of her home town along with a poem, will fly to Florid to unveil a plaque at Walt Disney World that will read “Walt Disney World twinned with Swindon”.
Ms Warren said: “I still cannot believe that my entry has been selected - it’s fantastic. What a great opportunity for Swindon.”
