Process industry staff get skills boost
NEPIC, the industry cluster that supports process sector companies in the North East of England, has collaborated with Durham University’s Business School (DBS) to introduce an MBA specifically designed for the needs of the sector.
In the North East alone the sector has more than 30,000 employees and adds £70bn to the region’s economy.
NEPIC has worked with Durham Business School and industrial partners to develop a programme of modules to help current and future employees develop key skills.
Anne Woodhead, Director Executive MBA at Durham Business School said: “NEPIC represents a key industrial sector for this region and the School are pleased to be able to support the development needs of their key managers.
“As an integral part of Durham University, and one of the longest established business schools in the UK, DBS has a highly respected reputation for combining academic excellence, internationally-rated research and superb student support services to give our programme participants the very best business education.”
Recruitment onto the programme is underway now. The programme is delivered from January 2010 and lasts around 2 years. Those interested in finding out more should contact NEPIC on 01642 442560.
