Charity given helping hand from Companies in the region
A Charity has received hundreds of gifts from companies in the run up to Christmas.
The latest donation, from Proctor & Gamble, gave Metro Radio and Magic 1152’s charity Cash for Kids a wide range of gifts.
On collecting the gifts, Metro Radio presenter Dan Smith said: “I didn’t expect to see so many presents here. P& G employees have really got behind this appeal and we’re very grateful.”
The gifts, including toys, books and games were collected from the scientific research centre in Longbenton.
Gill Hardy, P&G’s Community Matters co-ordinator, said: “I’m delighted that P&G employees have supported the Cash For Kids Christmas appeal.
“We have a long tradition of supporting local children and good causes and it is good to know that our efforts will help brighten the festive season for youngsters in the region.”
Cash for Kids is the official charity of Metro Radio and Magic 1152, supporting thousands of children across the North East who may suffer abuse or neglect, are disabled and have special needs. All money raised stays in the region.
