Naked conference calls
Businessmen and women take part in telephone conference calls wearing pyjamas, underwear, or sometimes nothing at all, according to a new study.
BT found that the most popular place to call into a conference was from the bedroom, followed by the bathroom, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Some of the 200 people surveyed said they had called into an audio conference from a train or a car, although more bizarre locations included a ski slope, a beach and a theme park.
The study also said that people taking part in conference calls could hear babies crying, dogs barking, kettles boiling or toilets flushing in the background.
Aaron McCormack, chief executive of BT Conferencing, said: “More people using conferencing is good news for all of us. It brings together any number of people from almost anywhere in the world. It cuts travelling time, costs and CO2 emissions and can assist us all to maintain a sensible work-life balance.”
And BT, no doubt, are entirely indifferent to the fact that more people are making phone calls.
