North East offered clear view of the cloud

A local company is preparing to guide businesses through the intricacies of recent IT developments.

Arjuna Technologies, of Newcastle upon Tyne, are planning workshops and seminars to help guide interested professionals through the potential benefits and pitfalls of introducing cloud computing into their companies.

With cloud computing, hosted services are delivered over the internet. Unlike traditional hosting, the service is often sold on demand in a rental or pay-as-you go format and is entirely managed by the provider.

Arjuna says it is keen to see local organisations capitalise on cloud computing, and is offering assistance to regional companies interested in exploiting cloud technology.

Arjuna are now organising a range of seminars and workshops to help businesses explore what cloud computing can do for them.

Steve Caughey of Arjuna said: “Cloud Computing represents the future of IT. It’s the cheapest and most efficient way to operate IT and allows business to focus on delivering service to their customers without becoming embroiled in the details, and inherent costs, of supporting complex technologies.

“We want to get businesses here in the North East right up to date with what the rapid growth in cloud computing services means for them, and how they can make the most effective use of the facility. This really is a time of change for the IT industry, and the effects will be far reaching. Don’t let your business get left behind. This seminar will give you all you need to know to prepare your IT department for the future.”

Arjuna’s seminars will be taking place throughout January in locations across the region. For details on dates and venues contact Jill Newey on 0191 3055 096 or email jill@riseconsultants.co.uk.
