Women overtake men in brain game
Women have overtaken men in an online Trivial Pursuit battle to prove which sex is most intelligent.
Hasbro, the makers of the game, have been staging what they call an ‘experiment’ at www.trivialpursuitexperiment.com in an attempt to end the age-old debate of whether women are brighter than men (while selling more copies of Trivial Pursuit at the same time, of course).
The site has been live for three months, but the advantage apparently shifted from men to women for the first time this week. In response a last-minute appeal has been issued for more players to take part before the final result is announced next month.
Katreena Lines, marketing manager for Trivial Pursuit, said: “The score is so close at the moment that every correct answer counts.”
Anyone can play by logging on to the site and registering. Each time a player answers a question correctly they gain a point for their sex.
