Spain calling for tech firms
Technology firms from the North East will this week be vying for lucrative new contracts as one of the biggest telecoms trade shows on the planet takes place in Spain.
Among the thousands of businesses represented at The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona will be at least three emerging North East firms in Fluid Pixel, Foof Productions and Palringo.
The event brings the world’s mobile phone manufacturers, software developers and telecoms specialists to Spain’s second city.
Fluid Pixel, from Middlesbrough, and Foof Productions of Gateshead are the creators of Animentals, a mobile phone version of the Tamagotchi craze from the 1990s.
Also present will be Newcastle-based Palringo, who will be targeting its multi-platform chat software at the smartphone manufacturers at the event.
