With annual revenues of over £2.6 billion, AMEC designs, delivers and maintains strategic and complex assets for its customers. AMEC’s Natural Resources, Power & Process and Earth & Environmental businesses employ almost 22,000 people in about 40 countries worldwide. At the event, Mr Bruce will outline AMEC’s procurement policies and the type of goods and services the company purchases from the supply chain. He will also explain how companies can register as a supplier and introduce key contacts from within the business. Mr Bruce will also discuss the UK Energy Excellence Initiative, which is run in partnership between UK Trade & Investment and senior representatives from the UK’s energy sector. The initiative is designed to improve global recognition for UK energy related products, services and capabilities. Joanne Leng, NOF Energy Director Business Development, said: “We are delighted to have Neil Bruce speak at one of our networking events. AMEC is one of the world’s most respected companies operating across the breadth of the energy industries. The insight he will give into AMEC’s supply chain activities will be of real benefit to our companies. “With regards to the UK Energy Excellence Initiative, NOF Energy is an active supporter and we encourage UK suppliers to the energy sector to use the branding in their own literature, especially when travelling overseas. British goods and services are in high demand around the globe and we should be proud to be world class suppliers in this sector.? Susan Haird, deputy chief executive of UK Trade & Investment, the government’s international business development organisation, said: “This strategy is all about making sure UK energy companies stand out all across the globe. It is about helping the energy industry develop a strategy that will help it market itself. “British energy companies are at the forefront of tackling the energy challenges that face us. They have the skills and experience to help customers and energy producers all over the world. AMEC and NOF Energy have both been very supportive of the UK Energy Excellence Strategy and I am very pleased to see them supporting it in this way.?
