THREE of the region’s top entrepreneurs in the creative industry are taking part in a ‘Parkinson’ style Q&A event on Tuesday 30 March. The event Get In, Get On, Get Out represents the three guest speakers of the evening. ‘Get In’ takes the form of Rob Mathieson of AYO Media. Rob created the web development and design agency 18 months ago to help fund the development of a product called Tipstar. The project has been so successful that AYO have partnered with most of the major UK bookmakers as well as organisations such as the Guardian. ‘Get On’ will represent Ben Quigley, MD of award winning integrated marketing communications agency Different. Different entered the beginning of the year on a high with The Drum awarding the team with 2010 Agency of the Year in its New Year’s Honors list. Ben’s expertise lies within marketing and advertising beginning his career at the Guardian. This later lead to a major role in a large advertising agency in the North of England. Now at Different, Ben’s role is to drive business forward and develop the overall marketing strategy to make a business grow and flourish. And finally ‘Get Out’ takes the form of Sam Morton, Commercial Director of Newcastle based integrated communications group Ten Alps Vision. Before Ten Alps Sam founded Twenty First Century Media back in 2002. Within seven years the company grew to be one of the biggest digital media companies in the North. It was then in 2008 that Sam and the team decided to sell Twenty First Century Media to Ten Alps Vision. Sam is currently the Commercial Director of Ten Alps Vision and a fellow board member at a:design association.
