Prominent agencies move house
Two agencies charged with promoting the region have now officially moved into their new home in Gateshead Quays’ newest landmark, Baltic Place.
NGi, the marketing agency for Newcastle and Gateshead, and Tyneside’s development company 1NG have jointly signed a 10-year lease to take 9,500 sq ft of the East Tower, which will house 32 of their staff.
The move makes them the latest in a series of high-profile tenants to move into Baltic Place, joining the ranks of banking giant Santander and global shipping insurer North East P&I.
Over a third of the £35m development, which was created by South Shore Developments, a joint venture partnership between Robertson Group and City and Northern, has now been let.
Baltic Place consists of 131,000 sq ft of office space comprising two, eleven-storey tower blocks linked by a shared entrance foyer and underground car park. Around 230 people now work in the building, which sits next to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, and has a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating for its green credentials.
