Tech firm targets expansion
A North East telecoms firm is on target to double its turnover in the next three years after being awarded a prestigious award from a nationally renowned supplier.
Eclipse Networks is one of only a few to be given the Super ResellerStatus by Kcom, which specialises in communication infrastructures and applications for businesses.
Eclipse, which provides for organisations including BT wholesale and Opal, has seen sales dramatically increase since the company was formed two years ago in partnership with Kcom, and has predicted to double turnover in the next three years.
James Drake, founder of the business, said: “The award doesn¹t provide anymonetary value but it¹s great to be acknowledged by a premier supplier.
“We’ve kept a huge supplier happy and we¹ve delivered a great service forthem and in doing so we¹ve kept our customers happy and have been allowed togrow in the process.
“Kcom are one of the oldest in their field and to be given this award shows that we¹re very much moving in the right direction.”
Specialising in voice communication products and broadband services forbusinesses, Mr. Drake is confident Eclipse will continue to flourish andexpand its workforce.
Since the company started trading, turnover has increased from £89,000 in 2004 to £2m in 2010.
He added: “We now employ 7 staff but it’s a scaleable business, if we bring another £1m in revenue we can push on even further and bring in more staff. I hope we double the turnover in the next three years.
“Our products aren¹t just for the big PLC’s. Up until very recently, lots of businesses didn¹t have laptops with dongles or have Blackberries. Now we can give these to people without breaking the bank.”
