Car firm deemed worthy of 007 status
A North East car sales and restoration facility is driving new business after being awarded an accreditation by luxury British manufacturer Aston Martin.
County Durham company Aston Workshop has achieved ‘Classic Aston Martin’ status and is the first dealership outside of London to be recognised in this way.
The news follows a recent £250,000 investment in staff training and infrastructure at the site.
Clive Dickinson, managing director of Aston Workshop, said: “We’ve been dedicated to Aston Martin for over 20 years and I’m delighted that our work here has been acknowledged.
“It’s an exciting time to be working with Aston Martin and this new status gives us added confidence in providing the highest levels of personalised service for our customers. We’re thrilled that our investment in the company has yielded such excellent results.”
The specialist company welcomes cars and visitors to the North East site from around the globe and more than 70 per cent of Aston Workshop sales come from the USA, Europe and Asia.
Aston Workshop employees recently visited the famous headquarters of Aston Martin in Gaydon to undergo training and gain the qualifications for ‘service agent’ status.
The new site in Durham now has a new reception and retail outlet as well as two new service bays and a state-of-the-art diagnostic area.
