Getting tooled up for Norway
A hydraulic tool firm is to embark on a trade visit to Norway as its looks to expand its reach into Scandinavia.
Izumi Products UK, based in County Durham, already sells hydraulic compression tooling and hydraulic cutters across the globe in Europe, Asia and Australia.
However, Norway remains an untapped market for the company, which is associated with the Izumi Products Company of Japan.
The Bishop Auckland business will attend a major event in Norway next month that brings together some of the largest firms in the electricity distribution construction industry.
A company spokesperson said: “We are looking at furthering our consumer business including in Northern and the Republic of Ireland and Norway is the next target.”
The business, which employs eight people, was formed in 1995 by three electrical distribution engineers with over 120 years experience between them of working in the electricity construction industry in the UK and South Africa.
