Alternative Look at Election Leadership Battle
Following the recent TV Prime-Ministerial debates there has been much discussion surrounding the personalities of the three party leaders. North-East based leadership specialist, Lesley Hunter, has recently taken this to a fresh new level with her “one of a kind” survey. Lesley is currently asking the nation what they believe is the canine equivalent of our political leaders, based on their behaviour and leadership skills. In her latest book, “Who put you in charge?? Lesley reveals that the key to successful leadership is in understanding behaviours: In particular that we can learn a great deal about leadership by observing the behaviour of dogs and their role in the pack. The survey itself is inspired by a recent ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) report into understanding how Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg are perceived as leaders. Considering this research, Lesley Hunter argues that “unlike humans, dogs are not affected by analysis, perception and ’spin?, instead they respond purely to the behaviours around them. If, as voters, we were to follow their example, the outcome of the forthcoming election could be a lot different.? Anyone wanting to take part in the survey should visit the web site www.whoputyouincharge.com where the results will be published the day before the General Election.
