Cash boost for Zytronic
ELECTRONIC display manufacturer Zytronic has received a £540,000 government grant to fund its ongoing growth plans.
The financial backing is the second and final payment of a Selective Finance for Investment (SFI) grant scheme awarded to the Tyneside firm. The first payment of £60,000 was made in 2008.
The grant was issued to support the company’s development of its touch screen ‘Zypos’ project, launched in 2005, and has aided the creation of jobs and the creation of a new manufacturing facility.
Blaydon-based Zytronic makes screens for ATMs, kiosks, gaming and ticketing machines.
