New role at unw
NORTH East chartered accountancy firm unw has further expanded its team with the appointment of a new corporate finance executive.
Katy Cheung has joined the Newcastle-based company from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
She will now assist unw’s corporate finance department to provide a full range of corporate finance advisory services including lead advisory, grants and deal support.
Her appointment comes after another successful year for unw’s corporate finance team, despite the difficult economic conditions.
Ms Cheung said: “unw’s deal team has developed a formidable reputation locally and acts for a really solid base of North-East clients.
“Having qualified last September, I was on the lookout for a new challenge and am looking forward to getting stuck in to the raft of transactions underway.”
Unw corporate finance partner Neville Bearpark said: “unw has an excellent track record of attracting people from ‘big four’ firms who want to join an experienced and growing independent firm and build great relationships with their clients.
“We are thrilled that Katy has agreed to join us to help us further develop this growing area of the firm.”
