Mobliq targets expansion
AN IT firm is readying itself for global expansion having enjoyed a surge in business for its revolutionary new technology.
Mobliq, based in Blaydon, has developed a complete electronic management system for the workplace and is now looking to tap into new markets on the back of a string of lucrative contracts.
The new system allows businesses to create their own forms and share information instantly, saving companies hours of wasted time.
Director Paul Maguire explained: “Customers were contacting us saying they wanted a new way to manage the endless streams of paperwork that was getting lost in the field.
“We spent years speaking with SMEs in the region discussing their needs and how their businesses work.
“We now have a complete workflow management system that is very user friendly and works on all the handheld devices like the Blackberry and iPhone.”
It has only been 16 months since Mobliq received a grant from the NorthStar Equity Investors’ Proof of Concept fund to develop the platform, yet it has welcomed business from a diverse range of sectors.
Mr. Maguire has now predicted it won’t be long before the company increases its workforce to cope with the demands of its new product.
He added: “So far, most of our success has come within the services sector, particularly plumbing and heating. But we also cater for air conditioning firms as well as the National Energy Association.
“The next step is tailor it for different sectors. So there can be a service engineers system or one in place for financial advisors. The possibilities are endless.
“We currently have seven staff but we aim to make £4m within 4 years and continue to grow.”
