Africa beckons for TTE
A MIDDLESBROUGH training company for engineers has posted one of its staff to North Africa in a bold attempt to drive forward their plans for international expansion.
John Taylor, of TTE Technical Training Group, will spend the next two years reviewing markets and developing new business opportunities across North Africa and, and hopes to establish a permanent base in the region.
Sara Marshall, TTE’s commercial business director, said: “John, with his extensive experience, is the ideal candidate to help spearhead TTE’s ambitions to increase its reach, capitalise on opportunities and forge new business relationships in the North African region.
“John’s knowledge of the oil, gas and process industries and international business development will help secure more contracts for TTE.”
John Taylor’s has said his new mission will include looking at how TTE can further grow its relationships in the Libyan market, having already gained a successful track record of delivering training programmes to Libyan nationals both at its UK-based training centres and on customer premises in Libya.
He added: “I’m really looking forward to the move. The North Africa region offers great potential to exporters.
“As to which country in the region TTE will eventually settle will be a matter for my analysis but we will look to establish an initial base in Libya.”
Mr Taylor He joined TTE as an electrical/instrument trainer in 1992 following 11 years of service with British Steel as a technician in the electronics department and then as a graduate electrical engineer.
