THE England squad has touched down in South Africa, the stadiums are sold out and the greatest show on earth is about to get started.
Amid all the usual hype that always comes in the build-up to the tournament there are sure to be a fair number of musical atrocities blocking up the airwaves in the host nation and across the world as fans and players unite to produce their own official world cup songs.
Not to be left out of the pre-tournament tradition, the North East has also given birth to its own world cup ditty to support Wayne and the lads.
