Major expansion to bring 600 new jobs

AN INDUSTRIAL maintenance firm has announced ambitious plans to create up to 600 jobs over the next five years as it looks to grow its annual revenue tenfold to £50m in that time.

Darlington-based Captus ProNet, which until recently was known as TMS Maintenance, currently employs around 30 people and services several major organisations such as Toyota, BAA and Nissan.

The company has emerged from the rebranding process with a plan to take on 60 equity partners in the next five years, with each partner likely to need a further 10 members of staff beneath them.

Each equity partner will be responsible for customer liaison, project management, recruitment, retention and management of staff, quality, cost and delivery management in their area of business and the country.

The Equity Partner opportunity represents a challenging business proposition, with the anticipated return on input being extremely rewarding. Each equity partner will be offered a profit-share based package which means the more income their area generates, the more they earn.

Managing director Paul Moore said: “Our five year plan is to create employment opportunity within the UK, with many of our competitors tightening the staffing budget we are proud of our plan to employ 600 new staff on top of our existing workforce.

“We’re very much a national firm, but as we’re based in Darlington and have great links across the North East region, I’d envisage that many of the initial jobs will be in the North East.

“We believe that we can increase our turnover up to £50m which in the current economic environment is very exciting.”
