Consultants to create 100 jobs
A CONSULTANCY firm has revealed plans to create 100 new jobs in the region in the next three years as it builds a global executive search and selection business from the North East.
Newcastle-based Global Black Swan, is to ramp up its executive recruitment arm to service clients internationally from Tyneside.
The company currently has a 30-strong workforce and has acquired North East recruitment consultancy Julian Rogan Employment Solutions (JRES) as part of a sustained growth programme.
It has now secured a larger Tyneside premises than its current Grey Street office and, following its relocation in the next three months, will begin the process of recruiting for 100 consultants and support staff over the next three years.
The business has additional operating hubs in London, South Africa, Australia, Shanghai, New York, Dublin and Dubai.
It aims to form a globally-focused team on Tyneside which will look to put executive level clients in the right job across the globe.
Partner Julian Rogan, who previously ran JRES and will now head up the search and selection function, said the company’s three-year expansion plan was well within its reach.
He said: “There shouldn’t be any barriers that get in the way of our plans. We aim to bring in excellent recruiters who can conduct themselves at all levels and will operate from small businesses through SME and up to board level in multi-national businesses.
“The opportunity to join blackswan to deliver the level of service my business has become synonymous with but to utilise the resources available with blackswan, was too good to turn down.
“We have secured outstanding offices in the centre of Newcastle which reflect the ambition of the business and will allow for our expansion plans.
“The market has shown what dedicated professionally run businesses who are sympathetic to the region can achieve here in the North East.”
As well as high-level recruitment services, Global Black Swan also offers a range of business transformation services and currently works with many of the world’s leading companies such as Rio Tinto.
