Gaming win for Mere Mortals
NORTH East digital and creative firm Mere Mortals has seen its first entirely in-house developed game selected to feature on Samsung’s new generation handset due to be launched this week.
Glo will appear on Samsung’s Wave range, which has been billed as the world’s first Super AMOLED phone (advanced touch screen technology).
In the game players must guide a firebug and a lonely moth on a perilous adventure through a forest full of danger.
Glo is targeted at the rapidly emerging market of casual gamers and forms part of Mere Mortals’ new brand of immersive games.
Helen Spencer, director of creative media, said: “We’ve been in the industry 10 years and it’s a really exciting time for games. It’s great developing our own IP and a real kick to be picked up by a major player in the mobile market.”
