Venturing into growth
A capital investment giant has confirmed the purchase of a Newcastle based broker as it looks to increase its foothold in the North East.
Cullum Capital Ventures (CCV) has acquired Newcastle based broker, Bishop Skinner, in its fifth acquisition of the year and will attempt to establish a strong profile in the region.
And in a bid to dispel any rumours, CCV has been quick to announce that the broker will remain at its base in Newcastle city centre, where it employs over 50 people and controls £12m of premium.
CCV chief executive Michael Rea, said: “I am delighted to welcome Bishop Skinner and its entire staff to the CCV Group.
“Bishop Skinner is an excellent business with a real focus on delivering top-class service to its clients.
“With recent acquisitions, CCV now controls almost £250m of premium and, with a very healthy pipeline of deals currently in due diligence, I expect CCV to complete another six deals at least before the end of the year.”
CCV has also confirmed that current Bishop Skinner managing director, Don Jones, will continue to lead the firm and the existing senior management team will have an equity stake in the business going forward.
